The headteacher and wider senior leadership team provides the school’s finance governor with regular updates and reports including Budget Monitoring Reports and the Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS), providing the opportunity to support and challenge the school to ensure spending is appropriately deployed and that the school is achieving value for money. Finance updates are also provided to the Governing Body during full Governing Body meetings. Additionally, the headteacher carries out a financial benchmarking exercise annually. This allows governors to see how spending and income compares to schools nationally that are similar to Broomhill First School.
