Below are some useful websites and documents with online safety help and advice. Click on each image to visit the sites. Most of these guides link to different social media platforms. Nearly all social networking sites only allow users aged 13 and over. In First School, we do not expect any of our children to have access to any of the common social media platforms, such as Facebook, Snapchat or Instagram. This age limit was initially dictated by US law through the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The act at first ordered sites to seek "verifiable parental consent" for younger users, and then restrict how they could use data.
