Curriculum Overview

Curriculum Intent

At Broomhill Primary School, our curriculum is underpinned by the four outcomes we want every child to achieve by the time they leave us to embark on their secondary education. It is our duty to develop, nurture and guide our children, so they are equipped for the next key step in their education, and ultimately the wider world in which they live.

1) Enthusiasm for Learning

Broomhill pupils will discover an abundance of intriguing, meaningful and relevant knowledge that sparks their enthusiasm for learning and heightens their desire to delve deeper.

2) Skills for Life

Broomhill pupils will become competent in core skills - such as problem solving, communication, teamwork, leadership and creativity - that they can apply in their wider lives and in future careers.

3) World Awareness

Broomhill pupils will be acutely aware of the dynamic world around them and the incredible diversity of the people they live alongside.

4) Exceptional Character

Broomhill pupils will grow into kind, respectful, positive and resilient individuals, who will enrich our society.
