Admissions

Nursery Places

Admissions to our popular and successful Nursery are organised directly by the school, using our own admissions policy.

If you would like to apply for a place in our Nursery, please complete our Nursery Application Form. We recommend completing this form at least 6 months before your child is due to start to secure a place. We accept applications any time after your child's birth.

At Broomhill, we have a range of nursery place offers available to parents and carers, which includes free childcare (funded by the government) and paid nursery sessions.

15 hour and 30 hour FREE childcare Scheme

Funded Childcare - Our Offer

15-hour provision
All children are entitled to 15 hours of nursery provision per week from the term after their third birthday.
At Broomhill, we offer this from 8:45am to 11:45am, Monday to Friday (3 hours per morning, 5 days per week).

30-hour provision
In addition to our 15-hour provision places, we also offer a number of 30-hour places for children eligible for the government's 30-hour childcare scheme. Parents and carers must apply for this using the government application form  (please see the link below) and they must meet certain criteria to access this funding. Once again, this funding is only available from the government from the term after a child turns three.

At Broomhill, we offer 30-hour provision from 8:45am to 2:45pm, Monday to Friday (6 hours per day, 5 days a week). Funded hours cannot be used outside of this offer in our school nursery.

Additional Offer
Depending on the number of children accessing our nursery provision, there may be the possibility for parents and carers to purchase nursery sessions outside of the government funded hours. This may be particularly helpful for parents wanting a place in our nursery in the period between their child turning three and the term after their third birthday.

For example...
  • If your child has a 15-hour morning place with us, you may be able to purchase additional afternoon sessions.
  • If your child has a 30-hour place with us and you would like to extend the day from 2:45pm to 3:15pm, you can pay £2 per day for this extended session. This may be useful for parents who have older children in school.
  • If your child has turned three and is yet to receive the government funding that comes the term after their third birthday, you may be able to purchase morning sessions or full day sessions.
Morning sessions (8:45am - 11:45am) are charged at £12 per session.
Afternoon sessions (11:45am - 2:45pm) are charged at £12 per session.
Extended afternoon session (11:45am - 3:15pm) are charged at £14 per session.

If you are interesting in purchasing sessions, please contact the school office. Additionally, please read our Nursery Admissions Policy for more information. This policy outlines our arrangements for the allocation of places, including the criteria for admissions should the demand for places exceed the number of places available. The policy is available on our school website or you can contact our school office directly.
